KUALA LUMPUR·24 March 2022.Wlistech Sdn Bhd and Huawei Technologies（Maleysia) Sdn Bhd goes into a Memorandum of Collaboration (MOC)for a Joint Cooperation in the development of Cloud Based Digital Solutions using HUAWEI Cloud Technology.This solution enables boh companies to plan,consult,develop and implement joint opportunities and projects together,Some of the areas of cooperation include planning,developing and implementing various future oriented cloud based digital
solutione for state-of-the-art services and experiences through distributorship and reseller
business models
The MOC e signed between Wilson Low Min Yew,the CEO of Wilstech Sdn Bhd and Lim
Chee Siong the Vice President of Cloud and Al for Huawei Technologies (Malaysia)Sdn
Bhd. According to Wilson Low,this MOC enables the collaboration on the development of
digital transformation solution for the franchise with future technology.The type of
programmes,duration,costs and other terms and conditions with regards to the
collaboration will be identified.Both companies have complementary capabilities not
availabie within their respective organisations and it is mutually beneficial to act as a team
for appointments purposes.
＂Among the project initiatives include to jointly explore, consult, plan,develop and
implement projects by leveraging on the strengths of both parties.Both companies will
jointly expiore the generation of project pipelines, business objectives and forecasting of
joint revenue impact arising from this collaboration and leveraging on the strengths of both
companies. Reports and summaries of the implementations will be available on requests
by both parties."
Minister of Science,Technology & Innovation (MOSTI)said:"The MoU today would benefit
the country through creating a dynamic digital infrastructure which could stimulate research
efforts and the development of technology-based solutions in line with industry needs.This
MoU will also encourage the adoption and use of Artificial Intelligence (Al) and Software
innovations as locally made services to empower future technologies as well as produce
more highly skilled and experienced talent through knowledge exchange in technology."
To ensure a smooth MOC, a joint working group with members from Wilstech and Huawei
will be created to facilitate the cooperation, and to meet regularly to ensure proper
coordination and implementation of its decisions and/or recommendations.All commercial
arrangements of the projects will be discussed and mutually agreed upon during the
specific project agreement to be signed by both companies.
The protection of the intellectual property rights is enforced in conformity with the laws of
Malaysia.For any revision, modification and amendments an agreement shall be
documented based on the MOC. If there is dispute, the MOC wil be settled amicably
through mutual consultations or negotiations between both companies. The MOC reflects
both companies mutual understanding of all matters and is 'non-binding'. No party shall be
liable to any other party in this MOC for loss of profits,business interruption, loss of
business information, economic loss or any non-liability clause.
Any miscellaneous will be recognised by both companies and impractical to make
provisions for every contingency which may arise in the course of the performance.Each
company must ensure the full effect is given to the terms of the MOC in the spirit in which
it was agreed upon. This MOC will come into effect on the date of the signing which is on
the 24 March 2022 and will remain in force for 2 years from the date of the MOC.Either
companies may terminate this MOC by serving the other party at least 3 months prior
written notice of its intention to terminate this MOC.
